Agoura Hills City Hall and the Recreation and Event Center are closed to ALL programs and the buildings are closed to the public at  this time. Park restrooms & playgrounds are closed until further notice. City owned park open spaces & walkways remain open.

Parks & Community Services Information

The Agoura Hills Recreation and Event Center has been closed indefinitely to the public. All City events have been cancelled or rescheduled through May 10, 2020. The Department of Community Services has been fielding an influx in questions regarding events & services. Please refer to the Community Services frequently asked questions (FAQ) for information pertaining to their services which can be found here.

All six City park's open spaces & walking paths remain open to the public at this time. Park restroom facilities and playgrounds are closed until further notice in accordance with the Governor's Executive Order N-33-20. Tennis courts at Agoura High School are closed until further notice. All future updates regarding changes to the City parks & their facilities will be posted to this page. 

The Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area (SMMNRA) has announced modifications to operations. As of March 18, 2020, the Santa Monica Mountains Visitor Center at King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas is closed until further notice.  All hiking, biking, and equestrian trails, parking lots and restrooms will remain open including the Chesebro Canyon Trail. Visitors with any questions are welcome to call 805-370-2301 or visit the website here.

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors announced that all County buildings and facilities will be closed to the public, effective Monday, March 16 through March 31. Parks locations will remain open as outdoor-only facilities during regular hours of dawn to dusk. This includes local parks, regional parks, lakes, and botanic gardens. All LA County beaches and trail heads are closed at this time. Limited outdoor restrooms will be available. The most updated information regarding LA County Parks can be found here.

California State Parks has announced the temporary closure of all campgrounds in the state park system. All non-campground outdoor areas of parks, including trails and beaches, remain open. Many state parks have closed parking lot to monitor the amount of visitors that are frequenting parks. For a full list see their press release here. All Mountains Recreation & Convervancy Authority (MRCA) - operated parks, trails, and building facilities, including public restrooms, will be CLOSED until further notice. This includes all parks that are owned by the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy. The full press release is available here or visit their website at https://mrca.ca.gov.

Beach parking lots are closed to the public at this time. This includes the City of Los Angeles, the City of Malibu, the City of Santa Monica (including Santa Monica Pier), and all State Beach parking lots.
