Local Grocery Store & Pharmacy Information

The City would like to urge all residents that this is not a time to panic. At this time, grocery stores are experiencing higher than normal traffic as residents are practicing social distancing, remote working, and self-isolation. County officials and the California Grocers Association (CGA) have assured the public that supply chains remain working properly and that there is no shortage of food or supplies.

CGA has started a new initiative "Buy Smart, Don't Overfill Your Cart" aimed at changing the way Californians are going to the grocery store during this difficult time to allow for all families to get the necessities that they need. A full press release regarding this imitative is available here.

Currently Vons & Ralphs in the City of Agoura Hills are offering alternative hours for the elderly or those with with underlying health conditions. Vons is open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM to elderly & those with underlying conditions. Ralphs is open daily from 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM to elderly & those with underlying conditions.

Many grocery stores have implemented social distancing regulations which allow no more than 25 persons at a time to shop in order to minimize the contact that people will have with one another. Some products are being rationed such as paper goods to ensure that all residents are able to get what they require for their families. This is not a reflection of a shortage in supply, but rather a proactive approach to ensure all the members of our community are well prepared at this time.

Pharmacies remain open and have adapted to social distancing protocols by allowing prescriptions to be called in, picked up at the door, and delivered to your home. Each pharmacy is handling the situation differently which is outlined in the resources section of this page below.

For residents who are unable to obtain the groceries and supplies that they require the City encourages them to make use of the following programs that are available to them:
