Public Participation During COVID-19 Pandemic (Safer at Home Order)
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and in response to Governor Newsom’s State of California Executive Order N-25-20, and Agoura Hills Resolution No. 20-1926, ratifying the Director of Emergency Services’ Proclamation of the Existence of a Local Emergency, the City facilities are closed to the public until further notice. In order to keep continuity of services, public meetings will be held via video conference and there will be no physical location for the public to attend.
The City Council meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. Members of the public are encouraged and invited to participate in these meetings.
Ways to Watch City Council and Planning Commission Meetings Live:
The City Council and Planning Commission will still be accepting public comment, which can be submitted in the following ways:
• Items not listed on the Agenda, Consent Calendar, and Discussion Items
Public comments should be emailed to email@example.com by 4:00 p.m. on the meeting date. Please identify the agenda item number (if any) in the email subject line. Public comments provided via email will be posted on the City website and distributed to the City Council prior to the City Council meeting. Any public comments received after 4:00 p.m. on the meeting day through the adjournment of that meeting will be posted on the City’s website and forwarded to the City Council after the meeting. At this time we are not able to accept comments submitted via text or social media.
• Public Hearing Items
We strongly encourage you to submit comments or requests to speak at least 24 hours before the meeting.
Written Comments: To submit written public comments, please refer to the instructions above.
Verbal Comments: To participate live by telephone, please email your name and telephone number (including the area code) to firstname.lastname@example.org prior to the time the Mayor closes the public comment period on the public hearing but preferably 24 hours in advance of the meeting (We will call individuals in the order we receive their requests). City staff will call you at the appropriate time to receive your public testimony. Public testimony is limited to three minutes per speaker.
Viewing Archived Webcasts of Past Meetings
• City Council meetings are televised and are shown on Channel 10 for Time Warner Cable subscribers and Channel 3 for Charter subscribers, and Channel 99 for AT&T U-Verse subscribers, beginning at 7:00 p.m. the following evening and running daily until the next regularly scheduled City Council meeting. The broadcast schedule is as follows: M-10am; T-3pm; W-10am; Th-7pm; F-10am; S-3pm; and Su-7pm.
