Message From The City Manager

Post Date:03/22/2020
Hello. This is Greg Ramirez, City Manager for the City of Agoura Hills. As many of you know, Thursday March 19, the County of Los Angeles issued a “Safer at Home” Order, and immediately following that announcement, Governor Newsom issued “Stay at Home” orders directing all people in California to stay at home beginning , March 20, 2020 through April 20, 2020.
Staying at home is a crucial step in reducing exposure and increasing our ability to practice social distancing, which at this time remains our most effective tool in combating the spread of the COVID 19 virus. This order will help flatten the curve and support our health system’s ability to respond to this dynamic crisis.
The City of Agoura Hills is asking that all residents comply with these temporary orders and to remind others to do the same. There are several important exceptions to these orders.
Exceptions include essential services and critical infrastructure which will continue to be provided to all Californians.
While citizens are mandated not to gather in groups of over 10, eat in restaurants, or go to the mall, we can still go to the grocery store, pick up supplies at the pharmacy, and visit the doctor. While going about these essential activities, please remember to maintain social distancing, wash your hands and avoid touching your face.
If you or a loved one is showing signs of Coronavirus symptoms, please call your primary healthcare provider. If you don’t have one, you can call 211 to be connected to one.
The details of the full state and county orders are available on the City’s website at www.ci.agoura-hills.ca.us
On behalf of the City Council I want to remind you again, we are here for you, and the City is here for you. Please continue to practice caution when leaving the house and to take care of your loved ones, especially those who are elderly or have underlying health conditions. We will get through this together.
