How to help Woolsey Fire Victims

Post Date:11/14/2018 1:49 PM

Our community and the surrounding area were ravaged by the recent Woolsey fires. There are so many amazing people in the Agoura Hills community who have assisted as the fires were being attacked and there has been a large amount of people who want to know how they can help those displaced by the fires.

The Chabad of Agoura Hills has set up a Distribution Center at 30345 Canwood Street. The center will be open today and tomorrow from 9 a.m. until 6 pm accepting donated items for those in need due to the Woolsey Fire. Victims are encouraged to visit the center to select any items that they need.

In addition, gift cards for shopping centers, target, Costco, amazon, hotel vouchers, etc. are being collected by Chabad to distribute to those in need. The Chabad coordinating staff can be reached at (818)991-0991 or by visiting

The Red Cross is also accepting monetary donations - (you can donate under I want to give: California Wildfire Victims or those displaced by fires)

The Foundation for Las Virgenes Schools

With the tragedies of this past week, our community has rallied together to help the hundreds of families whose homes were directly impacted.    We currently estimate that 90 LVUSD families and 2 staff lost or sustained damage to their homes, but we expect this number to increase. Our local YMCA has partnered with the Foundation for Las Virgenes Schools to collect gift cards and monetary donations for families.   Rest assured that all funds will go directly to impacted families and that all funds are going to the same place which is LVFireRelief.   There are two ways to donate:

1. You can give money through the following link via the Las Virgenes Fire Relief Fund via

2. Drop off your physical items at: 28631 Canwood Street, Suite A, Agoura Hills, CA 91310

3. You can offer gift cards (Target, Home Depot, Grocery Stores, etc). Please drop off or mail to LVUSD District Office starting Monday, November 19th:
4111 Las Virgenes Road, Calabasas, CA 91302

As a result of the Federal Proclamation, there are several agencies that will assist those residents who have been impacted by the fire. Assistance information is below:
