For clarification - areas of Malibu Lakes and other unincorporated areas of Los Angeles are still under evacuation orders. These communities are outside the City of Agoura Hills' boundaries.
City Hall is open for normal business and for those homeowners who had damage to their home from the fire, please contact Louis Celaya at (818) 597-7314 or Lcelaya@ci.agoura-hills.ca.us for information on how the City can assist you in the recovery and rebuilding process.

Updated 3:00 PM - All evacuation orders within City of Agoura Hills have been lifted, you are able to return home. Please be aware there may be utility service interruptions. Unincorporated Agoura in Los Angeles County is still under evacuation orders (South of Cornell). City Hall will be open tomorrow for normal business.
Updated 8:53 am - Per the multi-public safety agencies, the City of Agoura Hills will reopen its impacted areas from:
Chesebro Road on the eastern border
Agoura Road (north and south sides of the road) from Chesebro Road to the west.
THIS DOES NOT apply to the Liberty Canyon area which will remain closed while the public safety agencies complete an intensive mop up duty. The areas is still considered a threat due to unburned fuel areas at this time along with current wind conditions. The Liberty Canyon area is anticipated to reopen later today. Please continue to check back for updates.
Updated 7:30 AM - Evacuation still remains in effect for south of the US 101. High winds from last evening were a concern and an evaluation is currently being done to let residents know when they can return home.

Updated 5:12 PM - South of US 101 is still under evacuation order. The winds have created several areas that are unsafe to enter. Northside of US 101 is open for residents to return. Fire briefing with updates expected.

Updated 8:15 PM - Per Los Angeles County Sheriff, starting at 9 PM tonight, US 101 from Valley Circle to Reyes Adobe Rd. will be opened for NORTHBOUND traffic ONLY. On and off ramps will be open and they are allowing residents to return to their homes in Agoura Hills and Westlake Village that are between Chesebro Road and Westlake Boulevard on the northside of the US 101 only. Those areas south of the US 101 still have an evacuation order.
Starting at 10 PM tonight, all southbound lanes of the US 101 accessing Agoura Hills will be open.

Updated 1:50 PM - MANDATORY Evacuation orders still in effect, and expected to remain in affect into Monday, due to weather conditions. 101 Freeway remains closed, but expected to reopen today, however, on and off ramps to the City will remain closed. Please do not return at this time. We understand your desire to return to your homes, but the high winds continue to threaten our community.

Updated 1:15 PM- Evacuation orders are still in effect. Please stay out of the area, it is not safe to return. This is a wind driven event and high winds are expected today through Tuesday. We do understand that people want to return to their homes but we want to make sure it is safe for you and your property. US 101 is still closed from Valley Circle to Reyes Adobe Road (Updates on road closures expected to CHP later today).

Updated 5:10 pm - Evacuation orders are still in effect and will not be lifted until it is safe to return. Please stay out of the area. High winds are expected this evening and into Sunday morning. L.A. County Sheriff will have a large presence in the evacuated areas. Utility services in the area are limited or not available. The fire stands at 70,000 acres burned with 0 -5 % containment on the perimeters with fire lines being established. @CityAgouraHills for up to the minute information on Twitter.
Updated 12:45 pm - There are no immediate plans to lift evacuation orders. The situation is currently assessing the situation and developing plans for residents to return to their homes.
Updated 9:00 am - Evacuations order have not been lifted. Please stay away from the area as electrical power and internet connections as well as other utilities may not be available.

LA County Fire Department has now issued additional mandatory evacuations to the following areas:
South of the 101 Freeway, south to Mulholland Highway, between Las Virgenes Road and Westlake Blvd.
