Our proactive enforcement of the Building Codes which regulate the design, use, construction, safety, technical, and maintenance of all buildings and structures, help us to achieve the high quality of life our community deserves.

NEW CODES

The City of Agoura Hills has adopted the latest 2007 Calfornia Codes which are based on the 2006 International Code. California Health and Safety Code, Section 17958.5 and 18941.5, require that the City of Agoura Hills adopt the most current codes and to make any modifications or changes to these codes with the express findings and to adopt and record them with the State of California Building Standards Commission. The City of Agoura Hills has completed this process and the following codes are being enforced as of January 1, 2008:

2007 California Electricla Code
2007 California Fire Code
2006 International Property Maintenance Code
2008 Building Engery Efficiency Standards
City of Agoura Hills Building Construction Regulation Code (Ordinance 350)
